Hardware installation

@home IT can supply a wide range of hardware, from printers and external hard drives to memory and hard drive upgrades.

Whether supplied by ourselves or not we can install and configure any hardware compatible with your PC either in our workshop or in your home.

What we do

Install or upgrade your hadrware after checking to ensure that your system is compatible. We'll also check that the most current drivers and associated software is installed and carry out any initial configuration.

How we do it

1. Purchase your new hardware from ourselves, or your preferred supplier

2. Bring your PC or laptop in to us or we'll visit you

3. Check that your system is compatible with the new hardware or upgrade

4. Create a restore point

5. Install the hardware and associated drivers/software. Transfer files if applicable.

6.Check to see if any updates or patches are available for download

7. Perform any initial basic configuration

8. Reboot the PC/laptop

9. Test and confirm that all is working

10. Go through the post check report and discuss any recommendations

* Please note that this service does not include the purchase of your hardware, which will be quoted seperately. If you require a new hard drive and data and files transferring, our data transfer service would be a better service for you.
