Laser or Inkjet?

There are a wide variety of different printers to choose from. Which technology is best for you will very much depend on what you are going to be printing and how much.

Inkjet printers are usually cheaper to buy initially but are generally expensive to run. These printers work by depositing small droplets of ink on the paper through tiny printheads.

Laser printers used to be only available to the corporate world but many manufacturers now offer low cost colour laser printers in their portfolio. Although usually more expensive to buy initially, the toner cartridges last for thousands of pages rather than hundreds so can be much more cost effective to run. These printers work by depositing powdered toner on the page which is then heated to 'fuse' it to the paper.
