File Transfer & New System Setup

When you buy a new PC or laptop you don't want to lose all your old data or have to spend ages setting up your email, internet access and other preferences. The same if you want to upgrade your hard drive or are simply getting rid of a machine but don't want to lose the data.

Our engineers can quickly and simply transfer your data and settings across to your new machine, hard drive or onto a memory stick, CD or DVD.

The File transfer service just transfers existing files and settings.

The New System Setup includes making sure updates for the Operating System are completed on the new machine, that anti-virus is installed correctly and updating, that any additional software you require is installed and working and also any peripherals. We will need a list of these items prior to carrying out the work and software and peripherals must be compatible with the new machines operating system; we can help you determine this if required, just ask.

What we do

Copy your files and settings from your old hard drive, PC or laptop to your new machine or hard drive. Please note that if you have purchased a new PC from @home IT and opted for the installation service this will be carried out as part of that service.

If your hard drive has failed, our Emergency Help services would be better for you.
